Updated Filming Schedule
We have had a few problems with filming due to me and Kate as well as our actors not all being available on the same days, we haven't managed to get the last bit of filming done. However, we plan to finish all of our filming by the end of this week. In order to do this we created a filming schedule that is suitable for when everyone is available to film. On Monday we plan to film after school in the drama studio and we are going to film close up shots of Luke singing, the guitar and Luke tapping his feet to the music. Tuesday is optional based on if we finish filming all the shots we need of Luke in the studio. On Wednesday we are going to after school at the Marina. And on Sunday we are going to film the rest of the narrative with all of our actors down Portishead Marina and Lake grounds. After all these dates on our filming schedule we should be completely finished filming.

Filming Update
The majority of the filming for the performance element of our music video has been completed. Although when we looked back and watched the footage that we had filmed in the drama studio we have spotted that there are a few shots that we could include in order to improve. For example, we need to film more close up shots of when Luke is performing such as close up of him playing the guitar, is feet tapping, close up of his lips singing the lyrics etc. We also need to film Luke and his 'girlfriend' having an argument in the studio to finish the flashbacks that are going to put into the music video. Once we finish that we then need to film the story element to our video.

Atlantic Records
As we are using Ed Sheeran's song 'Give Me Love' we have to ask Ed's record company for permission to use the song as our coursework otherwise it would be copy right. As Ed Sheeran's record company is Atlantic Records we emailed them to explain what we are doing as part of our A2 media coursework and to ask for their permission to use the song. Below is a screen shot of the email that we sent to them.

Poster Design
Initial Poster Design
After creating our script we started to come up with initial ideas for our poster design for Ed Sheeran's song 'Give Me Love'. Above is a sketch of what our poster is roughly going to look like. We are going to take a picture of Luke who is playing Ed in our music video and put it in the center of the poster. We are also going to have 'Give me love' written loads of times in small text on the top half of Luke and one in big text that stands out amongst the rest. Then below where it says 'Luke Barnett' we will have 'Ed Sheeran' and then below that the date of when the song will be realest.
Original Ed Sheeran Poster
In general in Ed Sheeran doesn't seem to be featured on his own posters. They typically have objects on them for example his poster for 'Lego House' it has lego bricks on it in a shape of foundations to a house portraying the name of the song. The main picture of the 'love hearts' in in the center of the poster which is the same as our poster design but the name of the song is in the bottom right hand corner of the poster and Ed Sheeran's name in on the top left hand corner. The poster is quite spread out and simple. It is also in black and white but one of the love hearts that has the song name 'give me love' is orange which makes the song stand out, this makes it the poster effective as it is clear to the audience of what the song is called.

Script
In our music video our characters Luke and Dani have an argument. Me and Kate created a short script for Luke and Dani to learn. Even though the audience will not be able to hear the argument and will only be able see them arguing we thought it would be useful to have a script. The script is a typical argument that a teenage couple would have. We didn't create a script for our other two characters (Sam and Megan) as we didn't think we need a script we will just direct them and tell them what they need to do/say whilst filming.
Script
Dani: I’ve seen your texts
Luke: What texts?!
Luke: I don't know what you're talking about?
Dani: My friend saw you two and told me everything.
Luke: It was nothing, you're over reacting.
Dani: I can't do this anymore... (Dani turns around and starts to walks away, Luke grabs her arm and tries to stop her)

Filming Schedule
This is our Filming schedule that we created which will help us know what day and what time we will be filming each shots in our music video. It also tells us what actors we will need, what equipment we will need and where we will be filming it. This is only a rough guide as things are bound to change and be altered, according to what days we are all free and to film and what days the drama studio will be available.

Inspirational Music Videos
Before we made our storyboard for our music video, me and Kate looked at different existing music video of artists we like, in order to get some inspiration for our music video. Here are some examples of music videos which we watched and inspired us and gave us some ideas to include in our own music video.
Ed Sheeran - Small Bump
We decided to watch another Ed Sheeran music video as we are filming a music video for Ed Sheeran's song 'Give Me Love'. Me and Kate got a lot of our inspiration from Ed Sheeran's "Small Bump" Music video. The location of the video is based in a hospital in which Ed is sitting down a singing, meanwhile there are many different scenarios happening with other patients. For example, you see a couple arguing, a child playing, nurses and doctors walking around, etc. All these scenarios happen at different times with every patient gradually fading away, leaving only Ed in the shot. All speech is muted so only the song playing over the top can be heard, I really like this technique as it adds a sense of emotion and a feeling to the song but also to the narrative of the story line. Me and Kate both agreed on incorporating a similar idea to this into our music video.
Olly Murrs - Dear Darlin'
After looking at Ed Sheeran's "Small Bump" Music video, me and Kate were also very inspired by Olly Mur's Music video for his single "Dear Darlin'". The effects used in this music are very similar to the ones used in Ed Sheeran's with idea of a scenario happening during a scene. Although in this video it used as flashbacks. We decided that we are going to be using the idea of flashbacks in our music video to explain to narrative.
