Ed Sheeran 'Give Me Love' Digipak
Here is the front cover of the digipak. We used a picture of our actor Luke playing an acoustic guitar on the front cover of the digipak because the artist Ed Sheeran is well known for playing his acoustic guitar in his music videos and when he performs live at his concerts. We also wanted to use this image because we featured the acoustic guitar in our music video that we made so we wanted to associate the front cover digipak with our music video so that the audience can clearly see the link between the two products. We also wanted to keep the front cover of the digipak simple but effective. We did this because Ed Sheeran's real CD albums tend to be kept simple and he isn't normally featured on his CD albums, on his front covers it is normally a picture of an object that is related to the lyrics of his song. However we changed this slightly when it came to creating our own digipak cover as we used a picture of Luke to represent the artist.
This is the inside page of the digipak that we created, we choose to use this page to advertise the artists 'Ed Sheeran's tour that is taking place in the UK this year. We used another picture of Luke in the inside cover of our digipak. We also used the same colour scheme and font as we used throughout the digipak. We then researched and added all the dates and locations of where the tour will take place in 2014.
This is the where the disk for the album will go. We used a black back ground to go with the rest of the digipak and used a white outline of the logo of the paw print with the lyrics of the song 'give me love' inside the paw print which is the song we created a music video for.
This is the back cover of the digipak. I decided to contrast the back cover of the album with the front cover by using the same colours that we used in the front cover which were black and white. The track list is in the middle of the back cover in white. We added the logo of the paw print at the bottom next to the track list. On the bottom right we added the barcode and in the bottom left we put the asylum logo and underneath it put the copyright agreements. We didn’t add a picture to the back cover as we wanted to keep it simple like the front cover of the album because Ed Sheeran’s real albums tend to be simple.
